Shelley Stephan, M.A., LPC, PMH-C

My experience with infertility has given me a passion to help others find healing in their journey with infertility and in other life challenges. My goal is to connect with clients where they are at in life and create a safe space for them to share without judgment and experience growth. It is an honor to walk with my clients on the path to healing – they can expect my utmost dedication and professionalism. My hope is that counseling will help you find purpose in your trials, peace, healing, and a deeper relationship with God.

About Shelley Stephan, M.A., LPC, PMH-C

Shelley earned her undergraduate degree in Speech with a minor in Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University.

Shelley’s aspiration to become a counselor originated during her struggle with infertility. The emotional rollercoaster of infertility drives her ambition and desire to help individuals and couples navigate through their journey with infertility. Her familiarity with the interworkings of the infertility world provides an extraordinary perspective of the unique challenges facing individuals and couples experiencing infertility. Shelley employs a personalized approach to each counseling session utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavior, Person-Centered and Family Systems modalities, while incorporating Christian-based principles and perspectives. She counsels young adults and adults experiencing most life circumstances, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, stress management, boundary and family of origin issues, with a specialty in the areas of infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression/anxiety, and new parent transitions. 

Shelley was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. As an avid college football fan, she enjoys spending weekends in the fall watching college football, especially her beloved Longhorns. Shelley also appreciates time with family and friends, creating custom cookies, and serving as a teacher’s aide in Sunday school classes at her church. She and her husband have been married 15 years and have a daughter.
