Shelley Stephan, M.A., LPC Intern

Supervised by Andrea Schultz, M.Ed., LPC-S, RPT-S.

Shelley Stephan

Shelley earned her undergraduate degree in speech with a minor in business foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University.

Shelley’s aspiration to become a counselor originated during her struggle with infertility. The emotional rollercoaster of infertility drives her ambition and desire to help individuals and couples navigate through their journey with infertility. Her familiarity with the inner workings of the infertility world provides an extraordinary perspective of the unique challenges facing individuals and couples experiencing infertility.

Shelley employs a personalized approach to each counseling session utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavior, Person-Centered and Family Systems modalities, while incorporating Christian-based principles and perspectives. She enjoys working with adults experiencing many life circumstances including, but not limited to, infertility, depression, anxiety, grief, stress management, boundaries, and family of origin issues.

Shelley was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. As an avid college football fan, she enjoys spending weekends in the fall watching college football, especially her beloved Longhorns. Shelley also appreciates time with family and friends, creating custom cookies, and serving as a teacher’s aide in Sunday school classes at her church. She and her husband, Andy, have been married 12 years and have a daughter.
