Kim Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a rich background in education and a passion for helping individuals of all ages navigate the complexities of life. With 23 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to personal growth, Kim has made it her mission to support and guide her clients on their paths to mental and emotional well-being. Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Dallas Baptist University and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University. Her extensive career in education laid the foundation for her understanding of the challenges faced by children, adolescents, and families. Recognizing a growing need to support individuals beyond the classroom, Kim pursued a second Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Amberton University, allowing her to expand her impact in the field of mental health. Kim brings a wealth of experience to her counseling practice, having worked with children, adolescents, and adults on a wide range of issues. Her areas of experience include:

Kim accepts clients ranging in age from 7 to 18, as well as adults 18 and older. She is dedicated to providing individualized care tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances. In her practice, Kim primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. However, she also integrates a variety of other therapeutic approaches as needed to ensure that each client receives the most effective and personalized care. For younger clients, Kim often incorporates play and art, creating a safe and supportive environment where children and adolescents can explore their feelings and experiences. For families and individuals who are interested, Kim is also able to integrate a faith-based perspective into her counseling sessions. She believes that faith can be a powerful resource for healing and growth and is committed to respecting and supporting each client’s beliefs and values. Kim is currently under the supervision of Andrea Schultz, M.Ed., LPC-S, RPT-S, and is committed to ongoing professional development to provide the highest quality care to her clients.
