Lauren Burkhalter, M.A., LPC-Associate

I have dedicated my career to working with children, adolescents, and young adults because I believe in the incredible resilience and potential that young hearts hold. Imagine a space where the walls are painted with the colors of hope, and where every session feels like a safe haven for your thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll embark on a journey that embraces both the challenges and victories, all while grounded in the principles of Christian faith. I look forward to the opportunity to support you, and you family, on your path to emotional and spiritual well-being. I’m truly honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing!

About Lauren Burkhalter, M.A., LPC-Associate

Lauren Burkhalter earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. While Lauren worked toward completing her undergraduate degree, she was asked to share her senior project, a manuscript of children’s books on diversity, inclusion, and sharing kindness,  to be presented to esteemed Doctors, Professors, and affiliated organizations at the 13th Annual Oklahoma Service Learning Conference.

Later, Lauren continued her education by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Lauren has long been dedicated to helping children and adolescents, as she worked as a Mental Health Coordinator for a non-profit organization training middle school and high schools in Texas on Suicide Prevention techniques through a national program called Sources of Strength.

Lauren possesses a unique ability to connect with young hearts, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can express themselves freely. Her warm and empathetic nature allows her to build trust with her clients, laying the foundation for meaningful therapeutic relationships. Believing that therapy can be both transformative and enjoyable, Lauren infuses creativity and joy into her sessions. With a keen understanding of the developmental needs of children and adolescents, she employs a variety of age-appropriate creative techniques through art, and play, interactive exercises, to make the therapeutic process colorful and engaging.
