Mary Ellen Courtney, MA, LPC-Associate Supervised by Linda Baxter, MS, LPC-S
Mary Ellen Courtney is passionate about walking alongside individuals of all ages and generations as they pursue healing, restoration, and renewed hope. She believes every person’s story matters and considers it a privilege to support clients through both hardship and growth. Mary Ellen approaches counseling with compassion, authenticity, and the belief that meaningful healing is possible.
Supervised by Linda Baxter, MS, LPC-S, Mary Ellen provides spiritually integrated counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families, thoughtfully combining faith-based care with evidence-based practices. She incorporates approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, play therapy, and trauma-informed care to support whole-person healing—mind, body, and spirit.
Her supervised clinical experience includes work in inpatient psychiatric care, PHP/IOP co-occurring treatment for substance use and mental health disorders, university counseling settings serving young adults, nonprofit ministry environments, and current outpatient clinical care with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Mary Ellen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Baylor University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
